FoodSafe Drains, a division of Global Drain Technologies, will exhibit its latest drainage products and engineering programs at the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) 2026, taking place 27–29 January 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia. Visitors can meet the team at booth #BC38101.
At IPPE 2026, FoodSafe Drains will highlight both product innovation and engineering-led programs designed to improve hygiene, performance, and reliability in food and beverage processing facilities.
KeyForm drainage accessory simplifies floor-to-drain integration
One of the featured innovations is the KeyForm drainage accessory, engineered to improve the interface between drains and floor coatings. Manufactured from powder-coated, high-grade aluminum, KeyForm snaps securely into place during the concrete pour to protect the drain body. It is removed prior to full curing, leaving behind a consistent, integrated keyway.
This approach eliminates the need for traditional manual chiseling around the drain to create a keyway—an often labor-intensive and inconsistent process. By creating a precise and repeatable interface between the drain and the floor coating, KeyForm reduces labor costs, minimizes rework, and enhances overall installation quality. The accessory is designed for use across multiple hygienic environments, including food and beverage processing applications.
Drainage Evaluation Program supports data-driven decisions
FoodSafe Drains will also present its Drainage Evaluation Program (DEP), an engineering-led assessment designed to give food and beverage operators clear insight into the condition, performance, and limitations of their drainage systems.
The DEP provides a structured evaluation that can extend beyond visible drains to include flooring, underground piping, and below-grade scanning, depending on facility requirements. Delivered by Global Drain Technologies—often in collaboration with GDT Alliance Partners—the program integrates both drainage and construction perspectives into its recommendations.
DEP follows a multi-step methodology that includes initial screening, discovery, site visits, report development, evaluation planning, and standard operating procedure (SOP) creation. The outcome is a set of actionable, budget-conscious recommendations that balance hygiene performance, capital investment, and construction impact. Facilities can engage DEP at multiple levels or implement it as an annual Evaluation Plan to benchmark progress over time and standardize drainage best practices across multiple sites.
Focus on hygiene, efficiency, and long-term compliance
Through products like KeyForm and programs such as DEP, FoodSafe Drains aims to help processors reduce risk, improve sanitation outcomes, and support long-term compliance and operational reliability. At IPPE 2026, attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with FoodSafe Drains experts to discuss facility-specific challenges and explore tailored drainage solutions.
