TNA Solutions showcases the future of snack production at European open house event

TNA Solutions, a global leader in end-to-end food processing and packaging solutions, has given European customers a glimpse of its complete snack processing technology, as it welcomed them to its manufacturing facility for the first time.

With a vision to be the complete solutions partner to food manufacturers, TNA acquired Dutch food processing specialist Florigo International B.V. in 2015, and in turn, its manufacturing facility in Woerden, The Netherlands. With new innovations, more product applications, and a network of global experts, this facility — now the TNA Innovation Centre — is home to advanced food processing solutions, addressing the needs of manufacturers around the world.

Feeding Ambitions: A TNA Open House was held in Woerden for customers from the region from September 23 to 26, 2024 Visitors got insights into TNA’s complete line solutions, the cutting-edge TNA Food Technology Centre, and how the company is working with food manufacturers to stay ahead of ever-evolving market demands and supply chain challenges.

Visitors from 12 countries attended the event and were given the unique opportunity to witness TNA’s fully integrated potato chip line, with a live demonstration of seasoning, distribution and packaging systems. The line highlights the range of solutions offered by TNA, as well the unique advantage that the company offers as the only global single-source solutions partner for the entire potato snack production line. Customers visiting also had a chance to explore collaborations with the TNA Food Technology Centre on site, to stay ahead of market trends, test new products and more.

Eric Geling, Chief Sales Officer, TNA Solutions, said: “Snack producers continually need to meet the growing and changing demands of customers to remain competitive. For example, a recent UK survey found that customers were turning to healthier snack options, with 2023 spending increasing 39% on the previous year. Snack manufacturers that can adapt faster are better positioned to provide customers with the products they want, ahead of their competitors.

“Ultimately, consumers are looking for healthier, affordable and novel snacks that still boast a captivating taste profile. The chip market is a prime example of this — Europe accounts for the second largest market for non-potato veggie chips, due to consumers seeking healthier options.

“These expectations are driving snack manufacturers to seek out solutions that offer flexibility in production, high output volumes and a lower total cost of ownership. By opening the doors to the TNA Innovation Centre, we’re helping the industry to observe what is possible and the technology that can support them in staying ahead of demand.”
