EASE OF USE

J. Schmalz GmbH has expanded its proven VacuMaster Light series. In addition to two pre-configured vacuum lifting devices, a new version with a beam system is now also available to users. Based on a comprehensive modular system, it allows individual product configurations and thus even more areas of application for the vacuum lifting device.

EASE OF USE

The vacuum lifting devices in the VacuMaster Light series are ideally suited for horizontal handling of small and medium-sized workpieces weighing up to 100 kilograms, which can include metal and plastic sheets, barrels, furniture parts, profiles, and more. This makes the devices versatile during processes such as component assembly, packaging, and ergonomic machine loading. The VacuMaster Light is distinguished by its low overall height and low weight, which reduces strain on workers and allows for easy workpiece positioning. Installation and commissioning are very straightforward. The device is simply hooked to the chain hoist and supplied with compressed air.

The vacuum lifting device was previously available in two pre-configured versions – either with a large suction plate for compact workpieces or with four articulated and continuously adjustable suction feet for larger loads. Now users can also assemble custom handling solutions from a comprehensive modular system. Schmalz developed longitudinal and cross beams based on a mounting section for this purpose. Using the longitudinal connection, users can combine up to three cross beams and six suction plates with the VacuMaster Light basic module. This allows workpieces up to max. 2,500 x 1,250 mm to also be handled safely and ergonomically. In addition to a large selection of suction plates for different workpiece surfaces, the modular system also includes components such as suction plate holders and an optional suction cup disconnector.

To make handling even more ergonomic, the manual slide valve for switching the vacuum on and off is now mounted directly onto the operator handle for all three VacuMaster Light series.
