London Packaging Week will take place on 16–17 September 2026 at Excel London, London, UK, bringing together stakeholders from the packaging value chain to examine regulatory developments, material innovation and packaging design. The event provides a forum for manufacturers, retailers, brand owners, policymakers and solution providers to exchange technical and strategic perspectives on the future of packaging.
Industry collaboration expands
A notable development for the 2026 edition is the expansion of the event's strategic partner network. New participating organisations include the British Retail Consortium (BRC), Food and Drink Federation (FDF), INCPEN (Industry Council for Packaging and the Environment), Products of Change, Recoup and WRAP. These organisations represent sectors including retail, food and beverage, packaging, circular economy and environmental policy.
The expanded network complements existing partners such as the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), British Plastics Federation, BCMPA – The Association for Contract Manufacturing, Packing, Fulfilment & Logistics, Foodservice Packaging Association, PackUK, Smithers, Walpole and the Wine and Spirit Trade Association. Their participation contributes expertise across packaging materials, manufacturing, recycling, logistics and regulatory compliance.
Regulatory and technical focus
The conference programme addresses topics including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), packaging sustainability and the implementation of emerging UK packaging policy. These subjects are increasingly influencing packaging design, material selection and supply chain management across multiple industries.
One scheduled presentation, "Next steps for industry in the evolution of EPR", will be delivered by Esther Carter, Chief Strategy Officer at PackUK, on 16 September from 11:45 am to 12:10 pm. The session will examine the transition from regulatory preparation to practical implementation and the relationship between policy requirements and commercial packaging strategies.
In addition, WRAP will host a networking breakfast in the VIP Lounge on 16 September at 9:00 am to facilitate discussions on circular economy initiatives and packaging sustainability among industry representatives.
Industry participation
The conference programme includes representatives from organisations such as the British Retail Consortium, British Soft Drinks Association, Walpole, Ecosurety and the British Beauty Council, alongside technical specialists and policy experts.
The exhibition also brings together companies from the retail, luxury goods, beauty, beverages and FMCG sectors, including Aldi, Amazon, Charlotte Tilbury, Disney, John Lewis, Lush, Marks & Spencer, Mars, Tesco, Waitrose, Diageo, PepsiCo, Suntory Beverage & Food Europe, L'Occitane and Molton Brown.
Event scope
According to the organisers, the event will feature more than 220 exhibitors, over 90 conference speakers, approximately 5,700 visitors and thousands of packaging products and solutions. By combining technical presentations, policy discussions and product showcases, London Packaging Week provides a platform for evaluating developments in packaging materials, digital infrastructure, sustainable packaging systems and industrial innovation across the packaging value chain.
