The German dairy plant Milchwerk Crailsheim-Dinkelsbühl has entrusted GEA with the modernization of its milk treatment area. The next step will see GEA co-operate with the dairy project team to develop an energy and heat quantity concept for the entire plant, thereby unlocking significant CO₂ savings potential.

GEA started the installation of two complete lines to produce freeze-dried and spray-dried instant coffee using the CARINE extraction system for ofi in Brazil in May. Scheduled to start production in 2023, the new plant is being built on a greenfield site in Espírito Santo, Brazil, a region that produces conilon beans, which are similar to robusta.

At IFAT Munich, the world's leading trade fair for environmental technologies from May 30 to June 3, the machinery and plant manufacturer and solution provider GEA will be displaying how state-of-the-art decanter centrifuges can be used to operate sludge treatment in wastewater treatment plants efficiently and economically.

GEA Heating & Refrigeration Technologies continues to expand its semi-hermetic product portfolio. Two new screw compressor models, the GEA CompaX 350 and 400, will be launched in the second quarter of 2022. GEA is also launching the brand-new GEA Grasso X semi-hermetic screw compressor packages. For the BluX chiller, there will be major technical enhancements and adaptations for optimal implementation to the compressors.

Monomaterials that can be 100 percent recycled place special demands on the heating systems required for the thermoforming process. GEA PowerHeat makes using these materials easier and safer without sacrificing performance.

At this year's IFFA in Frankfurt, GEA will be presenting its new digital solutions. These digital tools will be on display at GEA’s booth on a 24-meter-long production line for sliced meat including new packaging technology. Highlights include a user-oriented control interface for lines, a tool for remote monitoring of machine condition and a digital line control platform (GEA LineControl), which automatizes production processes.

Leading technology company GEA has re-engineered the H-Packer SO Plus for long-cut pasta packaging by integrating a faster, highly reliable and technologically advanced system, comprising a double dosing unit and a continuous motion packaging machine.

GEA has redesigned its GEA Scan-Vibro Sifter type SRW to improve its dewatering and hygiene performance, specifically for plant-based applications. The updated machine will be on show at Anuga FoodTec trade fair from April 26-29, 2022 in Cologne.

From May 14 to 19, GEA will launch the new spiral freezer GEA ProEdge Drive at IFFA (in Frankfurt/Germany, Hall 8, booth G20), the leading international trade fair for the meat industry.
