GEA unveils a new sustainability option for the membrane system for beer dealcoholization at Drinktec 2022: GEA AromaPlus PRO reduces the water consumption for diafiltration during dealcoholization by up to 100%. The alcoholic base produced as a by-product of the filtration process can be used for manufacturing other beverages in the brewery, such as Hard Seltzer.
Pittsburgh Brewing Company in Pennsylvania, USA, returns to brewing its popular beers independently. For this purpose, it has invested in a new brewery featuring GEA technology. As a greenfield project, GEA's brewing experts designed and developed the complete process chain, from brewhouse to cold area and bottling. Installation began in August 2021 and was completed one year later.
